Swedish diplomat expected growth in bilateral trade

Mrs Helena Sangeland, Counsellor of the Swedish Embassy in Ha Noi believed that 2005 will see extensive leaps in two-way trade following the Agreement on Market Access between the EU and Viet Nam.
     Due to exports statistic from Viet Nam to Sweden in 2004 grew by 8% and reached 1, 057 million SEK ,while Viet Nam’s imports from Sweden also grew by 18% to 976 million SEK. Mrs Helena also visioned that Viet Nam’s future WTO membership will be another trade booster.
     Owing to the newly-established “Open Trade Gate Sweden”, a helpful Swedish contact point for exporters from developing countries will ease Vietnamese exporters surpass difficulties and problems when approaching the EU and the Swedish market.
