Increased opportunities to travel directly between Sweden and Thailand/Malaysia

The Swedish Civil Aviation Authority, LFV, informs of more travel opportunities between Sweden and Southeast Asia. Both Thai Airways and Malaysia Airlines will increase their traffic to Stockholm-Arlanda airport.
After only a few months since its start Malaysia Airlines will upgrade the Kuala Lumpur-Stockholm-New York route on March 27, to three weekly flights and change to higher capacity by using a Boeing 747-400, up from 278 seats to 386.
“The demand for trips to Malaysia has been large from the very first moment,” says Niclas Härenstam at LFV. “Many people have discovered that the country isn’t too exploited and has a nice climate with nice beaches all year around.”
In Malaysia, also about 3000 Swedes are working for Swedish companies.
Thai Airways, too, will increase its capacity on the Stockholm route on June 22, from 4 to 5 weekly departures directly from Bangkok.
In total this gives a weekly increase compared to before of 713 seats on the two airlines to Southeast Asia.
