MAERSK A/S is the first foreign-owned shipping agent in Vietnam

Danish shipping company MAERSK A/S’s Vietnam agent became the first foreign owned business operating in marine shipping services in Vietnam.
     The 20 year licensed was granted by Vietnamese government. the US$1 million MAERSK A/S Vietnam agent will represent its clients, conduct container storage and transport services, and prepare customs dossiers and related documents in Vietnam.
     The permit is issued in furtherance of Vietnam’s WTO admission agreement with the EU on opening up its market.
