Kari Aamodt New MNBC Executive Director

Kari Aamodt has been appointed new Executive Director of Malaysia Norway Business Council. She replaces Inger Meyer, who is leaving Malaysia due to her husband’s relocation to Norway.
     Inger Meyer’s departure was announced at the Annual General Meeting and Dinner of the MNBC held at the Norwegian Ambassador’s residence on 25 May 2005. Arne Spetalen, Chairman of MNBC and President of Kvaerner Process System (M) Sdn Bhd. thanked Inger Meyer for her good work with a beautifull flower bouquet.
     Kari Aamodt comes from Ghana but is no new comer to South East Asia. She used to live in Bangkok, where she was very active on the board of Scandinavian Society Siam as Chairman of the Party Committee. She retired from the board when in 2003 she and her husband relocated to Ghana.
     At the Annual General Meeting, the following new Board Members of MNBC were elected:
Mee Yin Song, Barber International
Ng Soo Keong, Jordan Regional Office
Dagfinn Tegnander, APL
Sverre Stoje, Stoje Management Service

Continuing Board Members are:
Arne Spetalen, Kvaerner Process Systems

Jawhar Merican, Kvaerner Petrominco Engineering
Morten Lundal, DiGi Telecommunications
Ariffin Salim, Det Norske Veritas
