SIDA Supports Laos’ Xieng Khouang Development Project

The Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) will support the improvement of the state administration and agriculture service in Xieng Khouang province, Laos.
     The project will support various development activities in Xieng Khouang, including human resource development, state administration improvement, and poverty eradication. The four-year project will be operated in Paek, Khoune, and Nong-haed districts.
     The news came amidst Xieng Khouang’s involvement in the Governance Public Administration Reform in Xieng Khouang (GPAR) announcement, together with Saravane and Luang Prabang province.
     According to Mr Bounpheng Monphosay, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Head of Administration Department and Civil Servant Management, the project is also supported by The United Nations Development Project (UNDP), donated USD 2 million, and European Union.
