Thai deputy PM visit Finland

Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister Surakiart Sathitrathai visited Finland onTuesday 30 August as part of an ongoing tour to garner support for his UN secretary general candidature.
         During his meeting with Finnish Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen, Surakiart said Thailand planned to open an embassy in the Finnish capital but did not say when, Finnish media reported.
Currently, the Thai embassy in Stockholm also handles Finland.
         In his Surakiart has visited Sweden on Monday 29 August to talk with Swedish prime minister Göran Persson and foreign minister Laila Freivalds.
