A writing contest about Sweden, the country and its people was launched on 31 August by The Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisations in collaboration with the Swedish Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and the Sai Gon Giai Phong (Sai Gon Liberation) newspaper.
The contest will run until 15 October 2005.
The award ceremony will be held as part of activities marking the launch of the Viet Nam – Sweden Friendship Organisation in early November.
The best essays will be published in the Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper.
