“The shipbuilding industry in Vietnam is one of the top priority sectors in the economic development plans of the Vietnamese government. Vietnam has set a very ambitious agenda to become highly competitive in the international market for shipbuilding and sea transport,” Danish ambassador Peter Lysholt Hansen says according the webpage of the Danish embassy in Hanoi.
Senior managers of Vietnam’s major shipyards will also attend the seminar and the delegation of Danish companies will visit three major shipyards in North Vietnam.
“Vietnam is facing a very tough competition with other nations in the region, and the world class expertise of Danish companies in this sector could be of great benefit to Vietnam – and very good business for the Danish suppliers, consultants and shipping lines,” says Peter Lysholt Hansen.
