Leaving Without the Last Tsunami Victim

The technical police staff from Denmark has been working to identify all the Danes who were reported missing in connection with the Tsunami on December 26 2004. Based out of Phuket, Danish Police (Rigspolitiet) has managed to identify 45 Danish victims until now – using 170 police workers, including medical technicians, dentists, genetics experts, psykiatrists and administrative staff members, who have also assisted the local Thai authorities in their efforts to identify the thousands of victims of other nationalities.

The last Danish victim yet to be identified is thought to be an elderly lady, who has been reported missing since December last year.
