A stellar selection of award winning films will be showcased during the 6th European Union Film Festival in Kuala Lumpur and Penang, from 24 – 30 November and 2 – 8 December respectively.
This film is also nominated in Guldbagge, the Swedish national film award, for the ‘Best Actress’ (Helena Bergström) and ‘Best Supporting Actress’ (Maria Lundqvist) categories. Brasse Brännström has also won the 2002 Best Supporting Actor award for the role in this film in Guldbagge.
A total of 25 films from 16 countries will be shown during this two-week event. From Oscar winners to audience award nominees in independent film festivals, from romantic dramas to action thrillers, almost all of the featured films have received multiple internationally recognized awards.
This film festival is led by the British in conjunction with the UK’s presidency of the European Union and marks the second time the festival is held at Golden Screen Cinemas Sdn Bhd.
