Applications for the 2021 Awards will be opening on May 24, 2021. Visit the Asia-Pacific WEPs Awards website for updates. The 5 main Awards categories for this year are as follows:

Leadership Commitment
Gender-inclusive Workplace
Gender-responsive Marketplace
Community Engagement & Partnerships
Transparency & Reporting.

*Important note* For each category, a total of 3 awardees (winner, 1st runner Up and 2nd runner Up) will be selected. A total of 3 additional SME Champions titles will also up for grabs across all categories. To recognize the significant contributions of young leaders to the movement for gender equality, a special 6th category will also be celebrated: Youth Leadership for Generation Equality, which aligns to UN Women’s global Generation Equality campaign.

Last but not least, please save the date for the upcoming virtual UN Responsible Business and Human Rights (RBHR) Forum for Asia-Pacific on June 1st-4th!
With the focus on issues such as COVID-19 recovery, international supply chains, labour rights and migration, economic policy, climate change, human rights, corruption, conflict, access to remedy, and impacts on indigenous peoples, migrants, women, and children, the Forum will track the progress of governments and businesses in implementing the UNGPs and achieving the SDGs, and assess enablers and barriers in promoting responsible business in the Asia-Pacific region. Follow the RBHR website for further details to be provided.

With all this exciting news, we hope to facilitate more active engagements and endeavors to contribute to promoting equality, inclusivity and diversity in the business sector throughout the region. Please send us an email at [email protected] for any enquiries you may have.
