Danish and Vietnamese Governments jointly conducted a seminar on launching a Business Sector Support Program (BSSP) in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province, in the Central Highlands on December 29, 2005.
There were five major components of the program in the seminar; improving the business environment, creating better working conditions, developing business services to increase global competitiveness, devising trade dispute resolution mechanisms and also promoting business research activities.
The seminar made public the Government’s Decree on assisting small and medium-sized enterprises with clear provisions on vocational training for laborers, labor safety and hygienic conditions and the role of labor unions in each enterprise.
It aimed to benefit the enterprises listed in the program and also help to raise the awareness of competent agencies in fulfilling their responsibilities for facilitating the development of enterprises.
The BSSP program totaling 196 million DKK, or VND510 billion, will be conducted in the four provinces of Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tay in the 2005-2009 period.
