Alvar Aalto’s Exhibition in Jakarta – Museum Nasional

An exhibition of the famous Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto will take place in Museum Nasional, Jakarta from January 13 to February 06, 2006.
         The exhibition Alvar Aalto Houses – Timeless Expressions highlights seventeen one-family houses by Alvar Aalto. Buildings are presented through a selection of photographs, architectural drawings, scale models and furniture. The primary focus is on Aalto’s humane approach to spaces for living with examples from different stylistic periods 1924-72 throughout his long career.
         The ehxibition is organised by the Alvar Aalto Foundation, Embassy of Finland in Jakarta and Museum Nasional.
