On 6 February 2006, 100-200 demonstrators protested in a non-violent manner outside the Embassy of Denmark in Bangkok against a Danish newspaper publication of 12 drawings of the Prophet Mohammed. In view of the demonstration and the recent serious incidents in other countries, the Embassy was closed for visitors on 6 February as a security precaution.
