Indonesia, Norway Exchange Ideas On Human Rights Protection

Justice and Human Rights Minister of Indonesia, Hamid Awaluddin, said a dialogue on human rights organized by Norway was expected to provide some input on Norway’s experience in promoting and protecting human rights.
He made the remark when opening the fifth dialogue forum between Indonesia and Norway in the field of human rights in Jakarta on April 26-28.
“The scheme of cooperation will give a significant meaning to Indonesia with regard to Norway’s experience in promoting and protecting human rights,” he said.
He added that dialogue is very relevant to the efforts being made by the government of Indonesia to promote and protect human rights.
“The Justice and Human Rights Ministry is a a focal point to implement the latest action plan at the national level and in garnering trust in local committees at the regional, provincial and district levels,” he said.
