All Danish Final in Singapore Open

As expected, Sunday’s final in the Singapore Open will feature two Danish players. Seeded first and second before the tournament started earlier this week, Peter Gade and Kenneth Jonassen each had to go through some closely-fought semi-finals in order to satisfy those expectations.
Peter Gade managed to defeat China’s Bao Chunlai after three sets with the score-line 21-15, 15-21, 21-15. His upcoming opponent in the final, Kenneth Jonassen, later won over another Chinese player, Chen Hong, also after three sets: 25-23, 19-21, 21-16.

Men’s Double Also Reached Final
Denmark’s dominance in this year’s tournament also manifested itself in the semi-final of the men’s double, as Thomas Layborn and Lars Paaske went up against their countrymen Jonas Rasmussen and Peter Steffensen for a place in the final. After three sets with the score-line 17-21, 21-14, 21-15 Layborn and Paaske secured their place in the final, which is also played on Sunday. Here the Danish duo will face Flandy Limpele and Sigit Budiarto from Indonesia.
