Novozymes Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., Southeast Asian Regional Headquarters for Danish Novozymes A/S, has been awarded the inaugural Malaysian Business Ethics Excellence Award for 2005, in the category of small international company.
The award was sponsored by the Business Ethics Institute of Malaysia, Malaysian Institute of Integrity and the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs. The awards were presented by the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, YB Datuk Hj. Mohd. Shafie bin Hj. Apdal, at a business ethics forum and award ceremony at the Malaysia Institute of Integrity on May 23, 2006, and was received on behalf of Novozymes Malaysia by John Slade, Managing Director of the company.
The winners in the International Companies categories – Large, Medium, Small, and Micro – were chosen by an independent panel of reviewers and advisors at The Centre of Integrity Auditing of Universit Teknologi MARA after reviewing the code of business ethics and code of conduct of each entrant.
