The Ambassador of Sweden in Thailand, Jonas Hafström, and Secretary, Mia Öhrn, on September 12 paid a visit to the Thai premises of the Swedish-Swiss owned ABB, one of the world’s leading engineering companies.
The Ambassador met with the President of ABB Thailand, Mr Jonny Axelsson, at the Head Office located in Bangkok. The Head Office hosts among other administrative functions a sales offices and an advanced training centre.
The Ambassador was also given a tour at the ABB factory located in Bangpoo, in the outskirts of Bangkok, where the ABB has been producing power products for the last 15 years. The ABB is the number one supplier in a number of fields related to power production, power distribution and industrial equipment. Already in 1913 the first ABB product in Thailand was sold.
Today the company employs about 600 people in Thailand with a Head Office, factory and service centers.
