A bit of Success for the Vikings

The game against the British Club on Saturday the 11th of November was like a roller coaster ride for the Scandinavian Vikings.
In the first half the Vikings went one nil down, but not for long. A good header after a corner kick levelled the score. The Vikings were back in the game, but not for long as the Vikings had a man sent off the pitch with a red card.
“This is the third game in a row we have a man sent off. It has been a big problem for us throughout the season and we really have to improve from now on as it makes things so much more difficult for the team,”  Viking head coach Keld Bak tells.
And history did repeat itself. Being one man down caused problems for the Vikings and British Club took advantage of being 11 against 10. Shortly after the red card British Club scored and made it 2-1.
In contrast to the last couple of games the Vikings showed that they wanted to win. In the dying seconds of the first half the Vikings made it 2-2.The equalizer put a lot of spirit back into the Vikings.
Being one man down the team out up a heroic fight and the effort paid off. The Vikings went 3-2 up and fought their very best to get the first victory in more than a month. The British Club, however, kept fighting to get the equalizer and five minutes before from the end they succeeded and scored to make it 3-3, the final score.
“That they got the equalizer was terribly unlucky for the whole team. We really did deserve the three points after fighting so hard one man down. I am sure we would have won had we not had a man sent off in the first half,” Keld Bak says.
But in spite of not getting all three points the Viking coach is optimistic.
“We finally managed to break our loosing streak and we fought very well. Overall our performance was very positive and it raises hope for the next game against Sunbelt,” the Dane says.
The game against Sunbelt is being played at Patana International School, Sukhumvit soi 105 on November 18th at 16.00
