Danish economy wins WEF survey

Denmark has emerged as the European Union’s most dynamic economy in a World Economic Forum comparison.
The WEF said Wednesday that Denmark has done the most of any EU member to meet the goals of the EU’s Lisbon strategy, which commits member nations to economic and social reforms by 2010, the BBC reported. The Lisbon strategy is particularly focused on lifting the continent’s comparatively anemic job creation.
The WEF ranked EU economies on liberalizing markets, increasing social inclusion and enhancing sustainable development. Finland and Sweden ranked second and third, respectively.
