Dane Robbed in Pattaya

One of the two Danish owners of Copenhagen Bar in Pattaya, Soren ‘Strygejern’ was robbed in his home on Friday morning 22 December by unknown assailants. He was hit unconscious but later managed to call for help and was hospitalized in Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. Having been treated there for quite serious injuries, including a broken jaw, he was later moved to one of the rooms over Copenhagen Bar, which he owns together with Flemming, another Danish resident in Pattaya.
The attack took place sometime after Soren had returned to his home around two on Friday morning. The time is known because neighbours helped him into his house. What happened next is not quite clear, but having knocked Soren unconscious, the attackers stole his valuables, including a safe which they ripped out of the wall. In total, cash of around 700.000 baht and 60.000 Danish kroner was stolen.
