Peter Gade Will Play Super Series in Malaysia

The Danish top player made his decision Tuesday evening, which means he will face the Dutch player Eric Pang in his first Super Series match on Wednesday. The match will take place only 48 hours after Peter Gade was released from Gleneagles Hospital in Malaysia’s capitol following a heavy migraine attack while flying in from Denmark, causing the Danish badminton star to vomit repeatedly while suffering from a strong headache and pain in his arms.
The decision to play was made together with Denmark’s Badminton Association (DBA) coach Thomas Stuer-Lauridsen, who has traveled with the Danish badminton delegation to Malaysia for this week’s tournament. Peter Gade is not expecting to be fully fit for his first match, so he will not enter the match with high expectations, a press statement from the DBA has announced.
You can follow the results of the Super Series tournament in Kuala Lumpur, which is played at the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Stadium in Cheras, via the DBA website http://www.badminton.dk/ (in Danish only) or via local media.
