Passengers from Stockholm departed to Asia approximately 500,000 (up by 20 %) during 2006. The majority of these arrived into Thailand, around 150,000 passengers into Bangkok.
“We have a total of 22,000 passengers to Kuala Lumper, uplift to Singapore was 20,000 passengers,” according to Mats Rodgerson, Manager Route Development of Stockholm-Arlanda Airport. “Demand for Singapore has been fairly stable in the last two years”.
Vietnam is still an emerging market and have small increase in flows but not to comparable to other SE Asian nations, around 5,000 passengers departed for Vietnam in 2006.
