Sweden and Vietnam have agreed to lengthen a cooperation and development agreement for the period 2004 -2006 to the end of this year.
Moreover, Sweden will provide Vietnam additional funds, approximately 300 million SEK (US$ 42.6 million), taking the total Swedish non-refundable aid to 1.2 billion SEK, according to the document signed on January 26.
The original cooperation and development agreement between the two countries in the period 2004-2006 was signed during a Viet Nam visit by the Swedish royal family in February 2004.
