Finnish Man Killed in Phuket Car Accident

A Finnish man was killed and his Finnish travelling companion broke a leg when the tuk-tuk taxi in which they were passengers, collided head on with a pick up truck in Phuket on Wednesday 16 February.
The driver of the tuk tuk also later died at the hospital from his injuries.
According to Phuket Gazette, the Finnish man is identified as Eero Untamo Malim and his companion, Raija Helena Engberg. Immediately after the tragic accident, he was rushed to the nearby Vachira Phuket Hospital, but was dead on arrival. Raija Engberg was treated at the Bangkok Hospital Phuket for her broken leg.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash and have not charged anyone with a crime, Phuket City Police Inspector Maj Sarit Butnongsang told Phuket Gazette.
