The Vietnamese team of artists – which includes the popular girl band “5 Lines” as well as traditional music artist Truong Quy Hai – will perform for the Vietnamese communities in Finland, Sweden and Denmark during the coming lunar New Year celebrations. The team flew to Finland earlier this week, where they will stay until February 20. After that, they will perform in Sweden until February 28 before playing a few shows in Denmark.
The theme of the tour is “Vietnam my homeland” and it is the first time that the Vietnamese communities in Scandinavia will receive a group of Vietnamese artists from Vietnam.
“Although we won’t spend Tet [Vietnamese New Year] at home, we feel very privileged. But we are also worried whether we can meet the expectations of overseas Vietnamese,” says Bao Lan, who is one of the members of the girl band 5 Lines.
Following their tour of Scandinavia, the team will return to Vietnam – except 5 Lines which travel on to Switzerland to give performances for the Vietnamese community in Geneva.
