After a Friday night out on the popular bar, Green Mango in Chaweng on Koh Samui, a 23 year old Danish girl claim she was raped.
Before the assumed crime took place, she had been dancing and drinking with a Thai male. At the end of the night the couple headed for her hotel in a taxi. According to her statement, the deal was that he afterwards went home alone.
But instead of bringing her to the hotel he took the girl to a motel, where he convinced her to follow him. The rape should have taken place in the motel, she told police investigators.
Saturday, the police on Koh Samui arrested a Thai male for the possible assault. He has admitted to have been together with the Danish girl but claims innocence to the charges of rape.
In order to determine the accusations, she was examined by doctors. The result of the examination is not yet known.
In January last year a 12 year old Swedish girl was raped and two weeks before, on New Years Eve, a British tourist was raped and murdered on the island.
