KONE Will Supply Elevators to the Highest Condominium in Bangkok

KONE has won an order for the supply and installation of all the elevators in a condominium development in Bangkok, Thailand, called the MET which will become the tallest residential building in Bangkok once completed. The elevators installation will start in September 2007 and is expected to finish by the end of 2008.
The delivered units include 21 KONE MiniSpaceTM and two KONE MonoSpace® elevators, which are powered by the environmentally-friendly KONE EcoDiscTM hoisting machines. When installed, the KONE MiniSpaceTM elevators will travel at a speed of 5.0 m/s and 6.0 m/s.
The MET is located in the Central Business District (CBD) of Bangkok. The 66-story development offers luxury apartments for high quality life-style living and a variety of leisure facilities. In 2006, the MET was granted the best of the tall building category award by The World’s Property Market, MIPIM.
