Norwegian Flavour to Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra

The Norwegian conductor Arild Remmereit will appear as guest conductor in the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas in Malaysia from June 15-17.
The music of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) takes on a Scandinavian flavour as orchestra will perform Igor Stravinsky’s Four Norwegian Moods, as well as Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt (selection) and Carl Nielsen’s Symphony No.1 in G minor (Op.7). Appearing as guest soloist for the concerts will be the MPO’s Wolfgang Steike on double bass performing Serge Koussevitzky’s Double Bass Concerto in F sharp minor (Op.3)
