Danida Helps Train Vietnam Businesspeople

Danida has been funding Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Organisation (VYEO) to improve its member-organisations which are the province based Young Business Associations (YBA) through training on management and administration, member support services, and IT and Communication.
“This course has brought me great knowledge. I find it very relevant for my daily work at the secretariat of the YBA at Phu Yen. Now I have some of the answers to problem we face at our organisation,” said Mr. Ngo Minh Tuan, from Phu Yen YBA.
Originally training courses for five YBAs were planned for the first half of 2007 but the demand from VYEO member organizations was of such a magnitude that training was expanded to accommodate participants from 19 different YBAs.
Many more courses will be launched in the second half of 2007, including training on organisational management, best practice in board management and policy dialogue. Considering the positive feedback received after the June training sessions it is expected that even more YBAs will participate in the future.
Under the project, the Confederation of Danish Industries (DI) provides technical assistance and works in a close partnership with the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Organisation (VYEO).
