The New Finnish Ambassador in Vietnam

The new Finnish ambassador to Vietnam, Pekka Hyvonen, presented his credentials to State President Nguyen Minh Triet on August 8, 2007 to mark the beginning of his mission in Vietnam.
At these separate meetings, held after the guests had presented credentials, the Vietnamese State President reiterated the country’s foreign policy with a view to expanding friendship and co-operation with other nations.
He said he believed that the new incoming Ambassadors will bring about many initiatives to boost relations between Vietnam and their countries.
Mr. Hyvonen also conveyed congratulatory messages to President Triet on his re-election as State President at the 12th National Assembly session.
