Finnish Luxury Cruise to be Constructed by Malaysian Shipbuilder

Malaysian shipbuilder, Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd, expects to increase its contracts, mostly commercial, by another RM1 billion during the 2008 financial year as it has secured a RM50 million contract from Finland’s OU Sunborn Marine to build a luxury floating hotel.
“Contruction of the luxury cruise started last May and is expected to be completed in the next 18 months,” said executive deputy chairman, Datuk Seri Ahmad Ramli Mohd Nor.
Ahmad Ramli said the company would try to focus on getting more commercial contracts because it wanted to reduce its reliance on government projects.
