Refreshing Danish Rock Band at ”EU Music Festival” in Vietnam

The theme of the annual and well-established ”EU Music Festival” has until 2007 been jazz. This year however it has been decided to welcome all kinds of music. Denmark will contribute to the festival with the up-and-coming Danish rock bands, Moi Caprice, who will perform in Hanoi and in the province of Dak Lak at the beginning of December.
The Danish rock band, Moi Caprice, is distinguished by the success and acknowledgement they achieved in the late nineties, before they even had a record deal. They represents young, new thinking, alternative music in Denmark, and the concerts will be a different and new experience for the Vietnamese audience – just as Moi Caprice has been for the Danish audience.
Their success as an underground rock band paved the way for their 2003 debut, “Once Upon a Time in the North”, and this year we see their third album “The Art of Kissing Properly” which was well-received by the critics.
The band made their way from the underground music scene to the top slot of the charts without initial support from a record label, and this remarkable achievement is intended to inspire young Vietnamese musicians.
The band will perform in Hanoi and in Dak Lak and during the stay in Hanoi, the band will take part in a workshop with students at the “Military Arts and Culture College”.
The workshop will ensure an exchange of ideas and give the musicians from Vietnam and Denmark a chance to play together and learn from each other.
