Denmark At Its Best

From November 12th to November 16th Danish badminton players will make shuttlecocks fly over the streets of Hanoi. This is a part of the week “Denmark At Its Best” which is arranged by the Embassy of Denmark Hanoi.
”The idea is to promote Denmark and show some of the things we are good at such as environmentally friendly energy and effectiveness”, says  Helene Jordan, Cultural Counsellor at the Embassy of Denmark Hanoi.
Danish experts will therefore hold seminars and lectures about environmentally friendly energy during the week . However, the program of the week also includes several cultural activities and performances by Danish artists.
“We would like to show something about voluntary sport in Denmark. That’s why we have a badminton team from DGI coming. Among other things they are going to play Badminton in the streets”, says Helene Jordan.

Several Danish music and dance groups will also perform in Hanoi during the week as well as the Danish film producer Erik Clausen.
“Erik Clausen is coming to show his two new movies and to hold a workshop where the participants have the option to discuss movies”, says Helene Jordan. It will also be possible to watch movies about Danish design.
