Another Two Danish IT Companies Approced for B2B Support in Vietnam

The B2B office has recently approved Pilot Project support for two more Danish IT companies. All together five participants from the IT delegation arranged by the Embassy in April 2007 have then been granted support for the pilot phase and another 10 Danish IT companies are preparing applications.
Add-on products and Cosmo Cph are the two resent Danish IT companies who have spotted Vietnam, as a thriving ICT nation. The Danish companies are working together with a Vietnamese partner, and are planning to set up Joint Ventures in Vietnam creating more than 60 local jobs.
Add-on Products will together with their Vietnamese partner VietSoftware International provide software development and customer support for applications based on Microsoft platforms to customers worldwide. To assure that the required capabilities are transferred to Vietnam, particularly regarding software development, support and management skills, the partners intend to implement an extensive training programme with strong technical support from the Danish partner.
The project idea for the new partnership between Cosmo and their local partner Smart-OSC, is to develop a state of the art sales and marketing e-commerce fashion platform both for the Vietnamese and global market. The primary target group is fashion houses having no or very poor representation on the Internet. Although the market for e-commerce is increasing and developing rapidly, many fashion houses do not use this sales channel and in fact have very limited experience in how to sell through the Internet.
