Swedish Business Delegation Currently In Brunei

A Swedish business delegation is currently on a three-day visit to Brunei Darussalam to explore business opportunities in the country and at the same time, to promote investment opportunities in Sweden.
They are being led by the Swedish Ambassador to Brunei and Singapore. Mr Par Ahlberger, and the President of the Swedish Business Association in Singapore (SBAS), Mr Jan Djerf.
The delegates comprise 24 representatives from 16 reputable organisations and companies. Among the areas of cooperation and investment that they are exploring in the Sultanate are ICT, health, banking, maritime, defence and academics.
During their visit to Brunei, the delegates hope to learn more about the Sultanate’s economy and forge long-term relations, said Mr Ahlberger during a press briefing at the Empire Hotel and Country Club yesterday.
Yesterday, the Swedish delegates also met the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Dato Paduka Lim Jock Hoi, and paid a courtesy call on Brunei’s Minister of Health, Pehin Dato AWE! Hj Suyoi bin Hj Osman.
The visiting delegates will be departing Brunei this evening.
