Denmark To Give $1 Million To Vietnam’s Software Industry

The Danish government will provide 4.8 million Danish krones
(US$1 million) in official development assistance for a project to enhance the
capacity of the Vietnamese software industry.
    The aid agreement was signed on Wednesday in Hanoi by
representatives from the Danish Embassy and the Vietnam Software Association
(VINASA).
    Danish partners will help the VINASA plan development
strategies, make reports on the Vietnamese software industry, build portal
sites for information exchange among Danish and Vietnamese software companies,
and provide training courses for VINASA employees.
    The project will run from this year until 2011.
    Last year, the Vietnamese software industry earned revenue
of $498 million.
