Maersk Line Appoints New Country Manager For Malaysia And Singapore Cluster

Maersk
Group announced the appointment of Omar Shamsie as the new Maersk Line Country
Manager for Malaysia and Singapore. Omar
will be responsible for the development and execution of strategy in both
countries, overseeing sales, operations and customer service.
    Omar will
be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and reports directly to
Jesper Praestensgaard, Chief Executive for Maersk Line Asia Pacific.
    Omar was
previously the Managing Director for East Africa based in Kenya. He has
also been the Managing Director of Maersk Egypt
and Maersk Iran
prior to that. In all, Omar brings with him more than 20 years of experience,
having held various international management positions in the shipping and
logistics industry.
