Sida supports environment management system project

The Swedish international development cooperation agency, Sida, has approved a PHP 11 Million contribution to a project in the Philippines which will provide an environmental management system for possible ISO Certification.
     Sida’s decision came in September, following a project endorsement by the Philippines National Economic and Development Authority on 30 June 2003.
     The Swedish consultant, ÅF International AB, has already started project discussions with officials in the Department of Environmental and Resources in the Philippines.
