On the 15th of September, the deadline for the CDEF was reached. The CDEF board will meet on the 8th of October to decide grant support to contemporary art in Vietnam.
The deadline for the CDEF was reached on September 15th and the CDEF has received 15 applications for grant support. The applications cover the whole spectre of contemporary art in Vietnam, from music-theatre performance, painting, installation art as well as festival proposals.
The board will meet on the 8th of October to assess the applications and decide upon grant support. Applicants will receive reply immediately after the meeting and names on the supported applicants will be uploaded on the embassy’s webpage.
The CDEF is very pleased that so many Vietnamese as well as Danish artists have applied the CDEF for grant support since this enables the CDEF to live out is objectives and support the cultural exchange between Vietnam and Denmark as well the cultural development in Vietnam. Hopefully, the CDEF support will contribute to the development of a strong and innovative contemporary art scene in Vietnam.
The CDEF encourages even more Vietnamese as well as Danish artists to apply the CDEF for grant support. The next deadline for the CDEF will be January 15th 2009.
