Finnish Citizens Can Vote Inn Bangkok And Pattaya

The municipal elections will take place in Finland on 26 October 2008. The advance voting in Thailand will take place in Bangkok (15.-18.10) and Pattaya (17.-18.10).
Entitled to vote in municipal elections is every Finnish citizen who has reached the age of 18 not later than on the day of the election (26.10.2008) and whose municipality of residence in Finland, as defined by law (kotikuntalaki), is the municipality in question, and other foreigner who has reached the age of 18 not later than on the day of the elections and whose municipality of residence, as defined by law, is the municipality in question and who at the time have had a municipality of residence in Finland for an uninterrupted period of  two years.
The advance voting stations and voting hours in Thailand are:
Bangkok: Embassy of Finland – Amarin Tower, 16 krs., 500 Ploenchit Road, Bangkok 10330, puh. + 66 2 250 8801
–         15.–18.10.2008 klo 11.00–15.00
Pattaya: Siam Bayshore Resort & Spa – Pratamnak Road/Pattaya 2 Road, Pattaya, Cholburi 20150, puh. +66 38 428 678 – 81
–         17.-18.10.2008: klo 11.00–15.00
Bring your identity card with you: A person who wants to cast an advance ballot needs to present sufficient evidence of his/her identity (e.g. passport, driver’s licence).
If you have received a notification card from the Population Register Centre, please, take it with you. However, a person not holding this notification is entitled to vote.
