A Swedish businessman shot himself dead in Surigao City, in what police said was a quarrel with a live-in partner, a radio report said Wednesday.
But radio dzBB reported that Surigao City police said they are still not discounting possible foul play in the death of Larc Erickson Elertson, 73.
Initial investigation showed Elertson had a quarrel with live-in partner Imelda Rosales Mayol, 57, early Monday evening. Elertson was reportedly jealous over another man, police said.
Mayol said she was at the kitchen when she heard a gunshot coming from the sala. She said when she rushed to the scene, she saw Elertson slumped dead on the sofa, with a gunshot wound on the right temple.
