Finnair Almost Double Service To Bangkok

Finnair’s winter timetable increases scheduled flights to long-haul destinations when its traffic moves to its winter timetable on Sunday, 26 October. Finnair will increase scheduled flights to long-haul destinations this coming winter compared with last year. The company will fly to Hong Kong daily this winter instead of four flights per week. The Bangkok daily service will be almost doubled.
“The twice-daily service on the Bangkok route, which is particularly important for Finns, reflects the popularity of travel to Thailand ,” says Petteri Kostermaa, Finnair’s Vice President Route Strategy and Traffic Planning.
In Finland, capacity to Lapland is being increased for the winter, and additional flights will be arranged, if necessary. In the period between Christmas and Twelfth Night, however, services will be reduced across the board. On Christmas Eve only one Finnair long-haul flight – to Bangkok – will depart from Helsinki-Vantaa.
The winter timetable operates until 28 March 2009.
