Homeless World Cup: Finland Beat The Philippines

The effort was there again but the result remained the same.
In a game it cannot afford to lose, the Philippines absorbed a 2-6 setback to Finland and remained winless four games into its Homeless World Cup stint in Melbourne, Australia.
Trailing 0-5 at the break after surrendering a hat-trick to Karl-Bengt Henriksson, the boys of coach Marlon Maro were given a glimmer of hope by Kevin Logioy, who rifled home the country’s first goal against two defenders.
RP striker Jay De Jesus, the linchpin of the attack who booted in two goals in the 4-8 defeat to Norway Monday, came through with another in the sixth minute of the second half to trim the gap, 2-4.
