To celebrate of the 35th anniversary of Viet Nam-Finland diplomatic relation, the Viet Nam- Finland Friendship Association and Finnish Embassy yesterday held a meeting.
Finnish Ambassador Pekka Hyvonen said the celebration was an occasion for the two countries to look to the past and seek ways to develop the relationship.
The two countries should improve mutual understandings and boost co-operation in trade and economic sectors, he said, and the association should continue promoting its role as a bridge between the two nations.
Viet Nam currently has co-operated with seven of Finland’s non-government organisations in training jobs, supporting disabled children and preventing the trafficking of women.
