Several Swedish Companies participated in this years major Air and Marine Defence Material Exhibition in Langkawi, LIMA 2003, from 30 Sept – 5 Oct, 2003, reports the news page of the Embassy of Sweden in Malaysia.
Among the companies were SAAB, Ericsson, Bofors and Dockstavarvet.
According to the website, most of these companies were during the exhibition visited by many prominent Malaysian guests, including the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Defence.
The website shows a photo of Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad inspecting a model of SAAB’s airborne surveillance system (with an Ericsson Erieye airborne radar on a SAAB 2000 as some of its major components.)
