During the filming of the Norwegian vision of Robinson Ekspeditionen (Survivor) one of the local security-guards was killed after being hit by a falling palm-tree according to the Norwegian TV Chanel TV3 Norway, who produces the show.
Along with colleagues the Malaysian man was guarding the filming-equipment one night when a lightning stroke a nearby palm and made it fall directly into their tent. This is the first death in the 12-year history of the show, which is broadcasted in several European countries and USA
