Roskilde Festival Donates Profit to Indonesian Climate Project

Denmark’s biggest annual music event, Roskilde Festival, has donated $373,500 to support humanitarian projects on climate change. The recently concluded event focused on climate campaign, the Green Footsteps, this year. The festival goers were encouraged to donate $32 when buying tickets to the campaign and  1580 people committed hence, the event managed to collect $51,000.
A large amount of the money has now been donated to the Danish Red Cross project in Sulawesi, Indonesia to help reduce local vulnerability to natural disasters and climate changes.
