North Koreans Intrude Danish Embassy in Hanoi

A group of North Koreans have entered the Danish embassy in Vietnam’s capital Hanoi, where they have asked for political asylum.


It confirms the Danish ambassador to Vietnam, Peter Hansen, to Reuters. The ambassador would not say how many there are.


 


But a South Korean activist who helps North Koreans to defect, saying he “has sent nine North Koreans to the embassy, accompanied by other South Korean activists.”


 


“They seek asylum,” says activist Kim Sang-Heon, according to Reuters.
