Singapore’s Minister for Education and Second Minister for Defence, Dr Ng Eng Hen, will be visiting Finland and France from Oct 5 to 9.
During his visit, Dr Ng will be attending the 35th UNESCO General Conference in his capacity as Chairman of the Singapore National Commission for UNESCO.
He will also deliver a statement at the General Policy Debate segment of the Conference and will meet with his counterparts and visit educational and research institutions in France.
In Finland, Dr Ng will meet with Ms Henna Virkkunen, Finnish Education Minister, and will visit schools and institutions to learn more about the educational developments in Finland.
The minister will be accompanied by senior officials and school principals from the Ministry of Education (MOE) for his trip to France and Finland.
Members of the Singapore National Commission for UNESCO will also attend the various Commission meetings in France.
